From August 24, 2023, the implementation of the EU Regulation on the use of diisocyanates applies



Obligatory training when using diisocyanates

A new EU regulation will apply from Aug. 24, 2023: Diisocyanates may only be used industrially or commercially if the user has completed training.*

The new training requirement is based on REACh, the European Chemicals Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, which is intended to ensure protection for health and the environment.

* All working materials containing a total concentration of 0.1 percent by weight or more of diisocyanates are affected. Corresponding products must be labelled with a reference to the safety training since 24 February 2022.
